My Car is a Star (PA Gig)

So I worked as a production assistant and script supervisor for my good friend and director Brendyn Gilbert. We sorta fell in love with film at the same time and that boy really ran with it and I was so proud of him when I got to his set! It was like a real set with real union workers there so it was legit. He hired me as a PA and I was basically just chillin with the crew and making jokes but also suggested a few angles and helped get some actions just right for the characters to make it feel more emotional. The first one we worked on was this short called “Friends.” You can actually see my car in the blocking picture on IMDB. He was like “hey I need your car” and I was like “I gotchu.”

I’m not entirely sure where the final footage is, I’m pretty sure they’re still editing it or something but I bet it’ll come out soon. It was a beautiful set and Brendyn and Rick have some of the coolest shots I’ve seen. Those two are stars forsure and we got to do some more work together on their next one which is below!

Here I was mainly a script supervisor. I helped with a few technical things but mostly it was making sure the scenes would block well and transition properly with one another. It was a great experience to work on a few sets and get to speak with some industry professionals. I’d love to be doing more PA / Scriptwriting work so if you’re reading this and you’re lookin to hire, I’m your guyyyyy
